The Error Bars chart is a visualization designed to simultaneously display a measured value and its associated uncertainty. Each bar represents an aggregated measure, while the error segments illustrate the possible range around that value. The extension allows you to configure different calculation modes (percentage, fixed value, min/max, symmetric interval) to respect the statistical logic of each use case.

Bars can be grouped by dimension, then subdivided by details to highlight the internal structure of each category. ## Set up the workbook

The workbook contains localized worksheets and dashboards, but data isn't available until you sign in to your Tableau Cloud site. To set up and connect the workbook to your site data, follow these steps:

1. Download the **Admin Insights Starter** accelerator.
2. Open the workbook (`Admin_Starter.twbx`) in Tableau Desktop.
3. When prompted, sign in to Tableau Cloud as a site administrator.

After signing in, you can continue to use the Starter workbook locally or publish it to your site to collaborate with other administrators and authorized users. We recommend publishing the workbook to the Admin Insights project in Tableau Cloud.

The Admin Insights Starter workbook provides site administrators with enhanced visibility into their Tableau Cloud deployment. This pre-built workbook connects to curated data sources in the Admin Insights project to answer common questions about site usage, performance and user engagement. With its intuitive dashboards, administrators can monitor key metrics and identify trends, enabling them to make data-driven decisions.

Use the Starter workbook as-is, or customise it to create more detailed dashboards and workbooks that address the unique questions of your organisation. The Admin Insights data sources contain up to 90 days of data by default or 365 days with an [Advanced Management](https://help.tableau.com/current/online/en-gb/itm_intro.htm) licence.

## Set up the workbook

The workbook contains localised worksheets and dashboards, but data isn't available until you sign in to your Tableau Cloud site. To set up and connect the workbook to your site data, follow these steps:

1. Download the **Admin Insights Starter** accelerator.
2. Open the workbook (`Admin_Starter-en_GB.twbx`) in Tableau Desktop.
3. When prompted, sign in to Tableau Cloud as a site administrator.

After signing in, you can continue to use the Starter workbook locally or publish it to your site to collaborate with other administrators and authorised users. We recommend publishing the workbook to the Admin Insights project in Tableau Cloud.
