Answer key business questions

• What is our spend volume?
• Which spend categories drive the most purchasing value?
• From which vendor are we buying those spend categories?
• How many active vendors do we work with?
• Who are our top vendors? What are we buying from them?

Monitor and improve KPIs

• Total Spend: Total Spend amount (expressed in currency)
• Active Vendors #: Total number of active suppliers (at least one purchase transaction over the period)
• New Vendor #: Number of new vendors (first purchase transaction over the period)
• Spend per Vendor: Average amount spent per vendor (expressed in currency)

Required attributes

• Date (date): Spend date
• Vendor (string): Vendor, supplier...
• Spend Category (string): Purchase category
• Spend Amount (numeric): Spend amount
