DendroMap Explorer

DendroMap Explorer turns any hierarchy in your data into an interactive, drill-down tree — right inside your Tableau dashboard. Click a node to expand its children, follow one branch at a time or open several at once. Each card shows its value and share of the parent, so structure and magnitude read at a glance.

## What you can do

- Drill down through any hierarchy — Region → Country → State → City, or whatever dimensions you choose. - Compare branches — pin nodes to a comparison strip and read their values side by side. - Surface outliers — group small items into an "Others" bucket and reveal more on demand. - Read values your way — as a share of the parent, the level total, or the global total. - Style it to your dashboard — set colors for positive and negative values and the card background, choose horizontal or vertical layout, and configure the default view once in edit mode.

## Requirements

- Tableau Desktop, Server, or Cloud (Extensions API 1.6+) - One worksheet with a dimension hierarchy and a measure - Runs entirely client-side — no data leaves your dashboard, and the extension makes no external network calls.
