**Turn Tables into Power Tools Right Inside Your Dashboard**
SuperTables brings Excel-like flexibility to your Tableau Dashboards. No workarounds, no switching programs. Just powerful, interactive tables that let your users group, filter, pivot, calculate and export data with ease.

**Key Features at a Glance:**
* **Excel-like Formulas**: Add new columns with front-end formulas, including if-else logic and aggregation options.
* **Pivot Tables**: Let users pivot data inside the dashboard, just like in Excel.
* **Inline Filters**: Powerful column filters and global quick search to instantly narrow down results.
* **Grouping & Drill-Down**: Group by any column and optionally add aggregated values. Expand rows for deeper analysis.
* **Conditional Formatting**: Highlight key values or trends with colour rules and in-cell bar charts.
* **Export to Excel/CSV**: Styled exports that match your dashboard formatting.

PowerKPIs

Integrate strategic insights into your Tableau dashboards with PowerKPIs

A picture is worth a thousand words, so why not use more images in your dashboard? Have you ever tried to use product or colleague images instead of names as a filter in your Tableau Dashboards? Tableau offers URL actions, background images and shapes to use pictures in your dashboard. Do you want your dashboards to comply with your corporate identity or do you just want to create stunning dashboards? So far, static background images have been used to make dashboards look better. However, a big disadvantage of using images is that when you’re rescaling the dashboards, the image proportions are not correct anymore. With this user-friendly extension, all styled containers remain scalable and can be changed at any moment! You can even apply a new design to all containers with a single click. Never underestimate the power of a good-looking and consistent (corporate) dashboard!

### **EasyDesigns**
Design your dashboards without using photoshop or image manipulation. Have your Corporate Identity propagate throughout your dashboards, quickly synchronise the layout over multiple containers and fully customise the way your dashboard looks. All governed and secured in Tableau!

Drag the extension into your dashboard. Double-click on the container to configure the layout. Select “synchronise layout” if needed and set up a custom dashboard layout in only a minute!

### **Create your Corporate Identity**
Once you have created your desired layout, synchronise and share your results with your colleagues! In the Presets tab, themes can be saved and loaded/restored. To have a professional and consistent look at your dashboard, use a Preset file to load in your Corporate Identity. Use synchronise settings to update all containers that have these settings enabled. Changing your brand (i.e. a background colour) can become very tedious when having many dashboards. Not anymore! Save your template centrally on your server and update all dashboards by only replacing or editing this file.

### **Themes**
In the Inspiration section, you can play around with the default themes. Use this to set up a nice container or get some inspiration quickly. Use presets to load and store all settings. Default settings can be imported and used to sync settings over multiple containers, this way all containers look the same!

EasyTables turns a Tableau worksheet into a fast, configurable table for operational dashboards and detailed analysis. Authors set it up in a rich settings panel, and viewers can adapt the table themselves within the limits the author sets. It renders inside Tableau and processes worksheet values in the viewer's browser.

### What you can do

* Sort, search and filter columns, page through rows and copy cell ranges.
* Rename, hide, reorder, pin and resize columns, or show two fields in one cell.
* Build a pivot from Rows, Columns and Values, with collapsible groups, subtotals and total columns.
* Format numbers and dates, compare periods, and add data bars, conditional formatting and tooltips.
* Expand a row into a chart of its metrics.
* Choose one of five light themes and an English or Russian interface.
* Move a table configuration between workbooks as JSON.

### Self-service for viewers

* Viewers adapt the table themselves, within the options the author allows: they sort, filter, resize, hide, reorder and pin columns, build their own pivot, add conditional formatting and period comparisons, open row details and copy cells.
* Each viewer can pick a personal theme and, when the author allows it, switch between Table and Pivot.
* When the author sets a Tableau string parameter for layouts, each viewer's layout is kept in their Tableau Custom View.
* Saved views and filter presets give everyone ready-made starting points.

### Requirements

* Tableau Desktop 2024.2 or later, Tableau Server 2024.2 or later, or Tableau Cloud, with Viz Extensions enabled.
* EasyTables is a network-enabled extension hosted at [https://easy-tables.databeyond.app/](https://easy-tables.databeyond.app/). On Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud, an administrator adds this URL to the site's allowed extensions.
* The extension requests Full Data access to calculate exact AVG and COUNTD results and advanced pivot aggregations. Published views also need the Download Summary Data permission.

### Pricing

* Tableau Desktop: free. No licence is needed to build workbooks.
* Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud:
    * EasyTables Free: up to 10 Tableau accounts a month, with no time limit and no payment card. It starts automatically: on Tableau Server with the first visit, on Tableau Cloud when an author opens the workbook in Edit mode once. From the 11th account in a calendar month, EasyTables asks for a licence until the next month begins.
    * Annual licence: from USD 175 a year for 25 accounts.

Annual licence price per account and year. Each price applies only to the accounts in its band; taxes are added at checkout.

* Accounts 1–99: USD 7
* Accounts 100–249: USD 6
* Accounts 250–499: USD 5
* Accounts 500 and more: USD 4

Buying and activation:

* Annual licences are sold on the publisher's website, with Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. A full refund is available within 14 days of purchase and of each renewal.
* After purchase, you activate the licence key once for your Tableau address and site. On Tableau Server, every workbook on that site then works. On Tableau Cloud, an author adds the activation code to each workbook in one click. The manifest stays the same.
* Licence and purchase terms: [https://eduardnizamov.com/legal/easy-tables-license/](https://eduardnizamov.com/legal/easy-tables-license/)

### Data and privacy

* Worksheet data, field values and workbook contents are not sent to the publisher.
* On Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud, EasyTables checks access with the publisher's licensing service. The check sends the Tableau context and address, the site when it is visible, an activation code when the workbook has one, and a one-way hash of the Tableau account ID. The account ID itself never leaves the browser.
* For EasyTables Free, the service keeps a keyed hash of that value for each calendar month to count accounts, and deletes it after 13 months.
* An older online licence check, which an author can run manually, also sends the Tableau account identifier. The service stores only a pseudonymous hash of it, until the end of the calendar month.
* If access is denied or ends, the table is blocked and the saved settings are kept.
* Privacy notice: [https://eduardnizamov.com/legal/easy-tables-privacy/](https://eduardnizamov.com/legal/easy-tables-privacy/)

3D Scatter Plot brings a third measure to the scatter plot, in a real 3D axis box that you rotate and zoom directly inside your dashboard. Where a standard scatter plot stops at two measures, this one adds depth, so relationships that stay hidden in two dimensions become visible at a glance.

**Key features**

Drag a measure to each of X, Y and Z, and every row of your data becomes a point in the 3D axis box; add a measure to Size and a dimension to Detail for sized, coloured points.

* Three measures on X, Y and Z, with an optional fourth measure for point size
* Colour and shape by any dimension placed on the Detail shelf, with five marker shapes
* Drag to rotate, zoom in and out, and return to the default view with one click; the chart opens in the position it was published in
* Hover guides that project each point onto the axis walls, and templated tooltips you can pin with a click
* Round-value ticks with automatic K, M and B units, plus editable axis titles, prefixes and suffixes
* Orthographic or perspective projection, flat or shaded point style, light or dark backgrounds
* Categorical and continuous palettes, colourblind-safe choices and a precise colour per member
* Automatic 2D scatter plot when only two measures are in play
* Configurable legend, gridlines and tooltips in a full Format dialog

**Getting started**

* Open a worksheet in Tableau 2024.2 or later, and add 3D Scatter Plot Trex from the Marks card (Viz Extensions).
* Drag a measure to each of X, Y and Z. Optionally, drag a measure to Size, and a dimension to Detail to colour the points by category.
* On Tableau Desktop, no account is needed: 3D Scatter Plot works straight away.
* To use it on Tableau Server or on your company’s Tableau Cloud site, create a free Dataskera account at https://www.dataskera.com and keep using 3D Scatter Plot at no cost.
* Open the configuration dialog to adjust colours, shapes, axes, legend and tooltips.

**Rendering happens entirely in your browser.** The extension reads only summary data from your worksheet and never sends your data anywhere. Dataskera collects nothing beyond the account information needed for licensing. For Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud administrators.
For Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud administrators: This extension is hosted at [https://vizextension.dataskera.com](https://dataskera.com/extensions) and must be added to your site’s extension safelist.

3D Scatter Plot

Explore three measures at once in an interactive 3D scatterplot you can rotate and zoom.

Sunburst renders a hierarchy as concentric rings, each ring one level deep, sized by a
measure. Click a segment to drill in, click the center to drill back out. Ring order, labels,
and percentage-of-total figures are all RTL-correct, using Arabic-Indic numerals and the
Arabic percent glyph. Learn more at klimn.com.

## How to build it
Add your fields to the Marks card so Configure can offer them, then open Configure to assign
roles:

- Assign one or more level dimensions, in the order they should nest.
- Assign a measure to size the segments.

Fully formatted in a few clicks. Pick your colours, and it’s done.

Free on Tableau Desktop, Tableau Public and in authoring mode. Viewing on Tableau Server or

Sunburst

Concentric part-to-whole rings for multi-level hierarchies, with RTL and Arabic percentages support

Sankey visualizes how a measure flows between categories, with link width proportional to
value. Flow direction, labels, and tooltips all mirror correctly in RTL, so the diagram reads
right-to-left rather than simply flipping a left-to-right layout. Learn more at klimn.com.

Proportional flow diagrams between categories, with true right-to-left flow in RTL.

Line Chart plots one or more measures over time, as lines or filled areas, with markers,
smoothing and null-handling options. The x-axis requires a date field. This is a time-series
chart, not a general-purpose category chart. The axis natively renders Hijri calendar labels
alongside Gregorian, with Arabic-Indic values throughout. Learn more at klimn.com.

## How to build it
Add your fields to the Marks card so Configure can offer them, then open Configure to assign
roles:

- Assign a date field for the x-axis. This is required.
- Assign one or more measures as series.
- Optionally assign a dimension to split into multiple series by colour.

Line Chart

Time-series line and area charts with a native Hijri calendar axis.

KPI Card renders a single measure as a headline number, with a comparison to a prior period,
a variance delta, and a trend sparkline beneath it. Bind a date to unlock period comparison
and the sparkline. Without one, it shows a plain aggregated total. Multiple dimension members
render as a wall of cards, each compared against the same shared point in time. Every number
is Arabic-first: Arabic-Indic numerals, correct sign placement, and native Hijri calendar
periods alongside Gregorian. Learn more at klimn.com.

## How to build it
Add your fields to the Marks card so Configure can offer them, then open Configure to assign
roles:

- Assign a measure as the headline value.
- Optionally assign a date field to unlock period comparison and the sparkline.
- Optionally assign a dimension to render one card per member.
- Optionally assign a target to compare against.

Fully formatted in a few clicks. Pick your colours, and it’s done.

KPI Card

A headline metric with period comparison, trend sparkline and full Arabic RTL number formatting.

Hierarchy Table renders your data as an expandable table, built from either a parent-child
hierarchy (chart of accounts, BOM, org charts) or standard columns-per-level data. Both
produce the same interactive tree, with ragged hierarchies handled natively. View measures
side by side, or track a single measure over time with per-cell period variance. Every layer
is Arabic-first: full right-to-left layout, Arabic-Indic numerals and native Hijri calendar
periods, alongside standard Gregorian support. Learn more at klimn.com.

## How to build it
Add your fields to the Marks card so Configure can offer them, then open Configure to assign
roles:

- Choose your input mode: **Parent-child** (a name field, a level field and a parent index)
or **Columns-per-level** (one column per hierarchy level).
- Assign one or more measures.
- Optionally assign a date field to switch to time-columns mode, showing one measure across
  periods with per-cell variance.

Fully formatted in a few clicks. Pick your colours, and it’s done.

Hierarchy Table

Expandable hierarchical tables with native Arabic RTL, Hijri periods and ragged-hierarchy support.

Heatmap renders a measure as colour across a grid of two dimensions, rows and columns, with
sequential or diverging colour scales and optional cell value labels. A calendar variant turns
a date dimension into a calendar grid, with a native Hijri month-and-day layout alongside
Gregorian. Columns, row labels and the colour legend all mirror correctly in RTL. Learn more
at klimn.com.

## How to build it

Add your fields to the Marks card so Configure can offer them, then open Configure to assign
roles:

* Assign a dimension for rows and a dimension for columns.
* Assign a measure to colour the cells.
* Optionally assign a second measure if cell labels should differ from the colour measure.
* Optionally switch to the calendar-grid variant with a date dimension.

Fully formatted in a few clicks. Pick your colours, and it’s done.

Heatmap

Dense row-by-column heatmaps, including a calendar-grid mode with native Hijri months.

Doughnut Chart renders a measure as proportional segments, in either hollow doughnut or solid pie
form. The centre can hold a total, a KPI-style value or a custom label. Segments beyond a set
count are grouped automatically into an Others slice. Segment order, labels and percentage figures
are RTL-correct, with Arabic-Indic numerals and the Arabic percentage glyph. Learn more at
klimn.com.

Add your fields to the Marks card so Configure can offer them, then open Configure to assign
roles:

* Assign a dimension for the segments.
* Assign a measure to size them.
* Optionally choose doughnut or pie mode, and what the centre displays.

Donut Chart

Doughnut and pie charts with an optional KPI in the centre, part-to-whole at a glance.

Combo Chart pairs bars on a primary axis with a line on a secondary axis, both plotted over
the same date-based x-axis. Actuals versus targets, revenue versus growth and similar
dual-metric views render in a single chart with independently formatted axes. Both axes are
Arabic-Indic, and the secondary axis sits on the correct reading side in RTL. Learn more at

Bullet Chart

Actual-versus-target bullet charts with qualitative performance bands, following Few’s convention.

Bar Chart renders grouped or stacked bars in either vertical or horizontal orientation, with
sorting, value labels and an optional reference line. Bind one measure and a second dimension
to group or stack by, or bind several measures to compare them side by side. Bars, labels and
axis order all mirror correctly in RTL, with Arabic-Indic tick formatting throughout. Learn
more at klimn.com.

## How to build it

Add your fields to the Marks card so Configure can offer them, then open Configure to assign
roles:

* Assign a category dimension for the axis.
* Assign one or more measures for the bar heights.
* Optionally assign a second dimension to group or stack by.

Fully formatted in a few clicks. Pick your colours, and it’s done.

Bar Chart

Grouped and stacked bar charts, built RTL-native from the ground up.

Radial Bar Chart displays category values as bars curving around a circle, turning a plain bar chart into a compact, eye-catching visual. It is a great fit for rankings, KPI summaries, and dashboard tiles where you want to compare a handful of categories while saving space and adding visual impact.

**Key features**

Drag a dimension to Category and a measure to Value, and each category becomes a bar arcing around the center.

* Two layout shapes: fit to screen or perfect circle, with clockwise or counter-clockwise sweep and configurable start position.
* Full control over the bars: width, gap, corner radius, inner radius, opacity, and sorting with the largest bar at the start or the end.
* Optional center metric showing the total, average, max, or a custom value with its own label.
* 40+ colour palettes, including Tableau classics and colourblind-safe options, plus custom colours per category.
* Radial grid with configurable ticks, labels, and colours.
* Rich bar labels: show all values or only min and max, position them inside, outside, or along the bar, and build a custom template with category, value, and percentage placeholders.
* Flexible legend: position, custom template, decimals, and colours matching each category.
* Configurable tooltips and background.

**Getting started**

1. Open a worksheet in Tableau 2024.2 or later, and add Radial Bar Chart from the Marks card (Viz Extensions).
2. Drag a dimension to Category and a measure to Value.
3. On Tableau Desktop, no account is needed: Radial Bar Chart is free and works right away.

**One-click Excel export for your entire Tableau dashboard, preserving layout, filters and formatting.**

#### **Export to Excel – Smarter Dashboard Export for Tableau**

Export to Excel turns your Tableau dashboard into a ready-to-share Excel workbook, instantly. Instead of manually downloading each worksheet one at a time, this extension captures your entire dashboard – every chart, table, KPI card and active filter – and lays it out in a single .xlsx file that mirrors your dashboard’s actual layout.

#### **Why Export to Excel?**

Tableau’s native export options only let you download one worksheet or crosstab at a time – functional, but tedious once a dashboard has multiple charts, KPIs and filters. Export to Excel gives you the entire dashboard in a single click, arranged to match what’s actually on screen, with formatting and filters carried over automatically. Everything happens locally in your browser – no data ever leaves your Tableau session, and nothing is sent to any external server.

### **Key Features**

* One-Click Full Dashboard Export: Every visible worksheet exported together in a single click, not one at a time.
* Preserves Your Dashboard’s Layout: Sheets and KPI cards appear in the exported file arranged similarly to how they’re positioned on your dashboard.
* Captures Active Filters: Currently applied filter values are included as their own reference tables, so recipients know exactly what data they’re looking at.
* Smart KPI Formatting: Single-value KPI cards are automatically detected and laid out as clean label/value pairs, not cramped into a generic table.
* Built-In Conditional Formatting: Numeric columns automatically get heat-map-style colouring based on value, making trends easy to spot at a glance.
* Handles Large Tables Gracefully: Tables with many rows automatically collapse extra rows behind an expandable [+] control in Excel, keeping your export readable without losing any data.
* Respects Dynamic Zone Visibility (DZV): Sheets currently hidden by your dashboard’s DZV settings are automatically excluded from the export.
* Runs Entirely in Your Browser: No data transmission, no external servers, no tracking.

### **Common Use Cases**

* Executive Reporting – Export a full KPI dashboard into one Excel file for leadership review, without recreating each chart manually.
* Client & Stakeholder Handoffs – Share a complete, filtered snapshot of a dashboard with external stakeholders who don’t have Tableau access.
* Audit & Compliance Records – Capture exactly what data and filters were active at export time, as a reference record.
* Ad-Hoc Analysis – Hand analysts a clean, formatted Excel version of dashboard data for further slicing outside Tableau.
* Recurring Report Distribution – Quickly regenerate an up-to-date Excel version of a standard dashboard for regular email distribution.

### **How to Get Started**

* Import the .trex file via the Extension object → drag onto your dashboard → select Export to Excel.
* Click the Export All to Excel button on the extension.
* Wait for the workbook to generate – this happens locally in your browser.
* Open the downloaded .xlsx file – your dashboard’s sheets, KPIs and filters are ready to review or share.

Waffle Chart displays categorical proportions as a grid of coloured squares, making part-to-whole comparisons easy to read at a glance. It is a strong alternative to pie charts when you have a handful of categories and want precise, countable proportions instead of angles.

**Key features**

* Configurable tooltips, grid size, spacing, and background.
* Responsive and fixed layout modes.

**Getting started**

1. Open a worksheet in Tableau 2024.2 or later, and add Waffle Chart Trex from the Marks card (Viz Extensions).

Waffle Chart

Radial Spike Chart turns a worksheet into a polar lollipop: one spike per item, spread evenly around a baseline arc that opens at the bottom. Each spike reaches outward in proportion to a measure, with an optional bubble at the tip area-sized by a second measure: two quantities per item, readable at a glance.

**Encodings on the Marks card**

* **Item**: one or more dimensions (up to 8 combined); one spike per value
* **Length:** how far each spike reaches from the arc
* **Size** (optional): area-sizes the bubble at the spike tip
* **Colour** (optional): paint spikes and bands the arc; measures get a continuous ramp, dimensions one colour per value

**Built for real dashboards**

* Clicking a spike selects the underlying marks, so filter and highlight actions fire like any native chart
* Hover shows a tooltip and a centre readout; the centre number features the largest mark by default
* Configure menu: mark colour with preset swatches, spike and bubble size, arc span (180–360°), sort order (group by colour, longest, shortest, as loaded), direction, label options and tip-bubble toggle – all saved with the workbook
* Fills its zone responsively, sheds labels and legend when small, never scrolls

Works entirely inside Tableau – no data leaves your browser, no sign-up required.
Quick start with Superstore: Sub-Category → Item, SUM(Sales) → Length, SUM(Profit) → Size, Category → Colour.

## **Ternary Plot**

Reveal the hidden structure of three-part data with the **Ternary Plot Viz Extension**. This extension plots the proportions of three variables onto an equilateral triangle, so every mark instantly shows how it splits across three competing categories, right inside your Tableau dashboards.

Whether you’re analysing survey responses where people allocate a fixed budget, comparing soil samples and alloy compositions or breaking down how audiences divide across three segments, this chart turns compositional data into a clear, elegant picture that standard charts simply can’t produce.

**Why Ternary Plot Extension?** When three values always add up to the same total, position tells the whole story. The Ternary Plot Viz Extension places each observation exactly where its three proportions meet, making patterns, clusters and outliers obvious at a glance. It’s precise, readable and fully customisable.

**Features:**
* **Flexible Triangle Layout**: Control axis direction, margins, stroke, colour and fill to frame your data exactly how you want it
* **Rich Mark Styling**: Adjust circle size, opacity and stroke, and merge overlapping marks to keep dense plots clean
* **Discrete and Continuous Colour**: Encode a fourth dimension with categorical or gradient colour for deeper insight
* **Readable Guides**: Configure grid lines, corner labels, tick marks and an optional reading guide for effortless interpretation

Bring compositional data to life with the Ternary Plot Viz Extension. This extension is ideal for anyone working with survey allocations, scientific compositions, market breakdowns or any dataset where three parts sum to a whole.

## **Waterfall**

See exactly what drives the change between a start and an end value with the **Waterfall Viz Extension**. This extension breaks a total down into a sequence of **positive** and **negative** steps, turning bridge analysis into a clear, story-driven visualisation right inside your Tableau dashboards.

Whether you’re explaining a revenue bridge, a headcount roll-forward, a **profit & loss breakdown** or a budget-to-actual variance, this waterfall delivers a **flexible, polished** way to show how you got from one number to the next.

**Why the Waterfall Extension?** A single total hides the story behind it. Waterfall charts reveal it, step by step, showing which factors pushed the value up, which pulled it down and how everything reconciles to the final result. The Waterfall Viz Extension makes that story effortless to build, with filter-reactive start and end totals, automatic running totals and subtotals that keep even complex bridges easy to read.

**Features:**

* **Flexible Inputs**: Build your bridge from deltas (changes) or from absolute values, with start and end totals driven by filter-reactive measures
* **Smart Totals & Variance**: Automatic start, end and running totals, plus a Variance bar that surfaces any gap when your steps don’t reconcile to the expected end value
* **Subtotals**: Add subtotals after any step manually, or auto-generate them by hierarchy, each one renamable and individually toggleable
* **Targets**: Overlay a target as a line, a bar or both, with custom colour, width, dashed styling and labels
* **Customisable Design**: Separate colours for increases, decreases, totals, subtotals and variance, or assign a custom colour per bar, plus control over bar padding, corner radius, opacity, strokes and connector lines
* **Rich Labels**: Show the change or the cumulative value, formatted as value, percentage or both, with full font, alignment and axis controls
* **Interactive Capabilities**: Hover tooltips and selection support let users explore the details behind every step

Bring your numbers to life with the Waterfall Viz Extension. It’s ideal for anyone working with financial bridges, operational metrics, budget variances or any dataset where understanding what changed and why is critical to making informed decisions.

Create beautiful and modern Waterfall charts with running totals, subtotals and targets

DendroMap Explorer turns any hierarchy in your data into an interactive, drill-down tree – right inside your Tableau dashboard. Click a node to expand its children, follow one branch at a time or open several at once. Each card shows its value and share of the parent, so structure and magnitude read at a glance.

## What you can do

- Drill down through any hierarchy – Region → Country → State → City, or whatever dimensions you choose.

- Compare branches – pin nodes to a comparison strip and read their values side by side.

- Surface outliers – group small items into an “Others” bucket and reveal more on demand.

- Read values your way – as a share of the parent, the level total or the global total.

- Style it to your dashboard – set colours for positive and negative values and the card background, choose horizontal or vertical layout, and configure the default view once in edit mode.

## Requirements

- Tableau Desktop, Server, or Cloud (Extensions API 1.6+)

- One worksheet with a dimension hierarchy and a measure

- Runs entirely client-side — no data leaves your dashboard, and the extension makes no external network calls.

Funnel Chart turns stage-based data into a bold conversion narrative. It supports centred and aligned layouts, vertical or horizontal orientation, multiple silhouettes, optional grouped small multiples and target-based colouring so the same visual can work for classic pipelines, onboarding journeys, sales stages, process attrition stories and goal tracking.

The chart is built for stage comparison first: every segment can show value, retention versus the starting stage, conversion versus the previous stage and target performance. This extension builds stacked area charts where categories are re-ordered at each time point by their value, so you can spot rank changes, leadership shifts and evolving positions directly in your Tableau dashboards.

Whether you’re comparing brands, products, regions or teams over time, the Area Bump Chart turns temporal ranking data into a clear, flowing view of who’s on top, who’s rising and who’s falling without losing the sense of magnitude that stacked areas provide.

**Why Area Bump Chart Extension?** Ranking data over time tells a story of competition and change, but standard charts often hide that story in tables or separate line charts. The Area Bump Chart Viz Extension combines stacked areas with dynamic re-ranking: at every time step, categories are sorted by value and stacked, so band order and thickness reflect both rank and size. The result is a single, readable view of dominance, rank swaps and trends.

**Features:**

* **Dynamic ranking over time**: Categories are re-ordered at each time point by their value, so you see rank and magnitude together.
* **Stacked area layout**: Band thickness reflects values; order reflects rank, so leadership changes are easy to read.
Seamless integration: Works with Tableau dashboards: use Time for the time axis, Size for the measure and Colour for categories.
* **Customisable design**: Adjust colours, area opacity, margins and labels to match your brand or highlight specific categories.
* **Interactive capabilities**: Hover tooltips and selection support so users can explore the details behind the rankings.

Use the Area Bump Chart Viz Extension to bring ranking-over-time data to life. It’s well-suited for market share, sales rankings, sports or league standings, product performance or any dataset where understanding who leads and how that changes over time matters for decisions.

Area Bump

Visualise how rankings and category dominance change over time

# Slice & Dice Explorer

Interactively explore your dataset by combining multiple dimensions and metrics, and choose on the fly what to display and how to visualise it.

## Overview

Dimensions & Metrics Explorer is a flexible analysis visual that makes it easy to mix and match dimensions and metrics much faster than rebuilding native Tableau charts.
You can provide multiple dimensions and multiple metrics from your dataset, then select at any time which ones to display as your primary breakdown, secondary breakdown and KPI(s). Instantly switch between visualisation types to adapt the view to your question.
Optionally, you can define comparisons (segments or time periods) to generate variation views (absolute change and percentage change) and understand what drives performance differences.

## Key Features

* **Multi-Dimension Exploration:** Add multiple dimensions from your dataset and choose which ones to use as Dimension 1 and Dimension 2 at any moment.
* **Multi-Metric Exploration:** Add multiple metrics and select your primary KPI (Metric 1) and optional secondary KPI (Metric 2) on the fly.
* **Fast Shortcuts:** Quickly switch dimension pairs, metric pairs, and visualisation types directly from the chart header.
* **Multiple Visualization Types:** Switch instantly between views (Bar + Line, Overlay, Stacked Bars, Mekko, Moves) without rebuilding the visual.
* **Comparison Mode (Optional):** Create comparison dimensions to visualise variations (Δ and % change) across all KPIs.
* **Market Equation Support:** Analyse your KPIs through each step of your market equation for structured performance reading.

## Why choose this extension?

* **Faster than native visuals:** Explore many angles of the same dataset without duplicating charts, change dimensions, metrics and viz types in seconds.
* **Freedom with control:** Bring a rich set of dimensions and KPIs into one visual, then keep the report clean by displaying only what you need, when you need it.
* **One visual, many questions:** Rank, compare, understand composition, spot outliers, and analyse changes – just by switching selections.
* **Built for performance analysis:** Compare segments or periods and immediately access *Absolute change (Δ)* and *Percentage change* versions of your KPIs.

## Visualisation Types

* **Bar + Line:** Combine a bar metric and a line metric with dual-axis support.
* **Overlay:** Overlay multiple series for quick comparisons across KPIs or segments.
* **Stacked Bars:** Visualise composition with a secondary breakdown dimension.
* **Mekko:** Show size and composition at the same time (useful for market structure and share analysis).
* **Moves:** Highlight transitions and movement patterns between states or segments.

## Practical Example

You notice revenue is up, but you don’t know why. Add multiple candidate dimensions (Country, Channel, Device, Product Category) and multiple KPIs (Revenue, Orders, Conversion Rate, Average Basket).
With Datama Explore, you can instantly switch D1/D2 and M1/M2 to test hypotheses: is growth driven by a specific market, a channel mix shift, a device trend or a product mix effect?
Change the visualisation type (Stacked Bars or Mekko for composition, Bar + Line for KPI comparison, Overlay for quick benchmarking) to get the clearest answer.
