Sunburst visualises hierarchical data as concentric rings where each segment represents a share of the parent. It is effective when users need both top-level composition and deeper branch-level detail.

Sunburst fits category trees, product hierarchies, org structures and nested taxonomy analysis. It presents depth and proportion together for faster hierarchical insight.
